Decking the Hall

Okay, so I took the advise of my sweet little friend Tara, at aka blondiensc.typepad.com and "got off my butt" and deck'd the cottage halls for Christmas! That is one of the 10000 things off my list that HAD to been done asap. Okay, deep breath......ahhhh.

In my decking the halls madness (I only had four hour until I had to pick up the blessings from school) I decided I am over the "stuff" in my house. Time for new "stuff" , a new look, a new feel, a new.....? Well, lucky for me, maybe for you too if you are looking for "stuff" it is IVC this weekend and Robin and I will be out with our sweet pal Janice selling our treasure.

A note

Do they even do this in class any more? Pass notes? Or, do you just send a text?
I don't know.

There is something to be said for the old note! "Brian so soo cute" ! Do you want to be my boyfriend? Circle yes or no." Hello...you cant circle a text message now can you?

Today is the last day of November, and I am sending out this "note" to tell the whole world.....
OH MY GOSH, REALLY! I am so far behind and cant seem to wrap my head around anything that I need to do . I am the proverbial hamster in the wheel.

All three of the children welcomed in the swine flu to our home.... at the same time. Thanksgiving was a cornucopia of people, and I was sicker than a dog! And now November 30th I'm making list's like nobodies business and cant seem to get mov'n.

Okay, so maybe it was not the most uplifting "note" you have ever read but maybe it was just what I needed to kick myself forward. Maybe?

Postcard from Paradise

Aloha~I just had to take a minute from paradise and send you all a postcard..a vintage one of course.

I was so very excited when the "shop" ~Country Roads called me today to say that Rachel Ashwell was in, and was buying my stuff! WOW! R.A. is the matriarch of all things I love ...Chippy,Rusty and Junkie and I take it as a huge complement that she like my JUNK enough to resale it as her own! :)

Bag's Are Packed!

I'm leaving on a jet plane.....
Well, girls the bags are packed, and I am sooo ready to leave all my cares behind island style!

The blessings and the Poppa and I will are leaving tonight for 10 glorious days of sun and surf in Hawaii! YIPEE! This is always a great time to relax before the craziness of Thanksgiving and Christmas kick in. I will be hosting Thanksgiving this year for 50 people so for sure the island time is well needed !

Oh Baby!

I love a party, and throw a new baby in the mix... and I am all over it. So, I was super excited to host a baby shower for my sweet girlfriend , Christian tonight. Christian has a funky~hippy style ,so it was fun to host her "Monkey Love" shower. She is a doll!

It is impossible to see.... but, the napkin rings were super cute and said " Sweet Monkey Love", KLB (babies monogram), and "Monkey Love".

There were lots of text messages, and voice mails from hubby's wanting to know if the girls were bringing any food home for them. Knowing this would be the case before the rings...I packed up some to~go "Hubby Box" to bring home to the Papa's.

My girlfriend Meg took this pictures and I think that the appetizer's must have been her favorite because there is 6 pictures of them...I promise we had a full spread and it was delightful!

Cars!

Urggggg.....there is nothing worse than car issues!

If you think about it our cars are kinda like our kitchens. The have a central purpose but they are also much more. And for those of us with little blessing... they are vital to our all ~day every~ day . Well, my car pooped out on me this weekend and it is just not pretty!

This weekend we had a show down south, and by the moon light I set out to greet the day, and all I got was a dead car....so I ran inside the house to tell the hubby (who by the way is soo not a car guy) he just looked at me with this sleepy panic face...so did what any smart girl would. I call my brother! Sure it was 5 am, but he ALWAYS goes to the gym that early... so I knew I was safe. SOOO wrong he was sleeping ...I felt like a heal. But, in true Chris style.. he was at my house in 10 mins and had me on the road! LOVVVE HIM!

But here we are today and my car is in the toilet again! Urggg. Well, tomorrow is a new, and I guess walking wont kill me! ....?

Show Time

I think if it was legal... my "blessings" would do more shows with me (at least the boys anyway) if I could pack like this. But, since we have that whole seat belt issue...I guess I wont be bringing anything but really fabulous things to our show this weekend in Mission Viejo.

Robin and I will be doing the Landmark Antiques Parking Lot Flea (28221 Marguerite Parkway) this Saturday, October 24th from 8am ~ 5pm.
