Show Antics

Anytime that I get ready for a show I get in a panic...don't forget the pillow inserts, do I have enough tags...you know.

It has become a big joke with Robin and I when we do our "itinerary" phones calls...someplace in the call one of us will say.... " I don't have much" or Robin is famous for ..."I don't even have a van full". Never fails, here comes Robin with the van so full all you can see is her head. But the best is 5 minutes later... here comes Steve, her hubby following behind with his car full! Hee Hee.

I ramble on about the behind the scene show antics because I said to my beloved last night..." I don't have much for the show and I don't want to take anything from the shop" ( I love the way the shop looks right now ) so to prove me wrong my super man loaded the trailer for me ....IT'S FULL!

So all of this to say...You wont want to miss this one...this Saturday 8 to 1pm. Grand ~ Old Town Orange. The best part...we have FABULOUS stuff loaded in those trucks, trailers and vans too!

I think in economic times such as these there is a need...willingness...desire? To bring things back to basics. Robin aka http://www.thefurniturequeen.blogspot.com/ and I will be doing just that next weekend as we go back to our roots and have a boutique in the front yard just like the good ol'days.

Because I no longer live the neighborhood that we started having these shows in my friend Laura and CrAzY husband , Dave have graciously allowed us to take over their yard.

So come by Sat, July 18Th at 8am-1pm South Grand~Old Town Orange and check out the goods.

I made this "Firecracker" skirt for the Doodle.... and it seem that there is a need for such fashion among the fashion elite 3 years olds on our block. I cant seem to make them fast enough I know how Marc Jacobs feels. Hee!).

I have it down now,... so if you need one for your little firecrackers leave me a message.

My heart cup is full....

Today while out running around I saw a sign for a Estate Sale...it is my normal practice to not stop when I have the kids with me (need I explain why) but, for some reason I was feeling adventurous today I guess.

I didn't see anything that I really had to have except an old Family Bible that I thought would be fun to have. FUN it is! To my surprise it is dated and inscribed 1847 FULL of family records, personal letters dated late 1800 -1932. personal banking records but the thing that just melted my heart. Their wedding invitation! Dated 1894! So classic. So simple. My heart leaped when I found it!

Crazy Love

I have had this sweet chandelier in the garage for awhile, and never had a vison (if you will) for it.

I always thought it was to small for the dinning room.... I already have some others placed in the house. Sure, I could have taken it to the shop...even thought about it a few times.. it is just so sweet and I love the detail on it. Well, today I hung it!
Right where I never thought I would like it. I LOVE it.
All of this ranting to say. Just try it. You can always change your mind. And you never know .....You may LOVE IT!

I wish you all a happy Memorial Day !

This is always a fun time for BBQ and beach days but, let me encourage you to take some time out during this weekend and give thank to our many service people who have given their lives for our freedom.

I am so proud to live American, and so thankful for all those who have gone before me for my freedom!

A Nice Suprise

Today was a fabulous day..after church we packed up the kids and headed over the Long Beach Flea Market. What a treat..the beloved is not a big fan of the market (any flea market as far as that goes) but he was a joy!
We got there late so lots of folks were pack'n up ( I was bummed I had a list of "have to have's" and everything). I did find some killer prints and frames that I will post later.

My precious friend Trish from Cottage by Design was there with all of her yummy pillows and such. She is one of the most talented gals (and a great friend too)you will ever meet. I tell her all the time that I don't want to tell anyone about her or her "stuff'" cause then my secret will be out! So I guess the cat is out of the bag!

It was a wonderful day, and as you can see from the Baby-Girls we were all tucker'd out!
